“Protecting Dryden means making Dryden a great place to live; for instance, offering cultural and recreational facilities and activities that bring us together and strengthen our bonds as members of a community.”
Kathy Servoss was appointed to the Dryden Town Board in 2016 and was elected to that office last November. An employee in the City of Ithaca’s Department of Public Works, her work on the town board is informed by her experience with the processes for creating and modifying city ordinances and policies and her familiarity with municipal engineering, construction and maintenance. One of Kathy’s current challenges is working with the board’s budget committee to balance the town budget.
Dryden residents know Kathy as the representative for Dryden and Freeville on the Tompkins County Youth Services Board; prior Chair of the Dryden Recreation and Youth Commission; an active volunteer with the Dryden Lake Festival, and as proud mom to one Dryden High School student and one 2017 graduate. Her interests include pushing the town to provide new recreation opportunities for children and adults. Kathy’s approach to governing is to listen to residents in order to make decisions that positively affect the whole town.
